Canon expands its line of XL1 accessories

Building on the original modular design concept of the Canon XL1 Digital Video (DV) camcorder and its ability to be accessorized according to user preference, Canon Canada Inc. today introduced four new performance enhancing, optional accessories for the XL1. The XL 14X Full Manual Zoom Lens, Floppy Disk Still Image Recorder FR-100, Monochrome Viewfinder Unit FU-1000 and Remote Controller ZR-1000 are designed to complement the XL1’s superior features, increasing usability and productivity.

“Providing videographers with the opportunity to produce broadcast-quality output with minimal investment, the XL1 camcorder is increasingly being used to capture news and documentary footage,” said Ian Macfarlane, Director of Sales and Assistant General Manager, Photographic Products Group, Canon Canada Inc. “With these new accessories, video makers will be able to expand on their already extensive capabilities achieved with the XL1 with increased performance and flexibility.”
